Ankita founded Scala Colab to create a place for thoughtful design. A strong advocate of collaborative thinking, she enjoys bringing creatives, scientists, practitioners and policymakers together to solve pressing problems in and of the built environment across scales. 

An experienced international leader in design, Ankita has practised for 20 years in the fields of architecture, design and research across many geographies on an extensive range of award-winning projects.  

Ankita is particularly interested in planetary sustainability and people’s wellbeing. She is pioneering transdisciplinary work through research and its application, finding alternative design solutions and creating innovative tools. In this way, she helps teams identify and improve the impact of the built environment on the planet, organisations, communities and individuals. She regularly speaks at conferences and industry events, hosts workshops and creates consortia for innovative research.
