Emilio joined Scala Colab to contribute to the holistic understanding of building materials and their role when promoting sustainable lifestyles. He believes that it is pivotal to sustainable lifestyles to reduce problem-shifting, to foster a holistic understanding of the material endowments of manufactured goods and to strengthen global supply chains or increase the reliance in local supply chains.

At Scala Colab, Emilio participates on market and desk research, evaluates sustainable building materials, as well as providing support in dataset management and external communication.

Emilio holds an MA in International Relations and English from the University of Aberdeen and an MSc in Sustainable Resources from UCL. His biggest passions are cooking and art, in particular music, literature and cinema. He also loves photography and the natural world, which drive his eagerness to solve environmental issues.
