BA Hons
Materials Researcher · Collaborator

Dunia devotes her time towards the alchemy of creating things that have a time scale of 100 years. A reawakening of ancient crafts and methods gives her great joy, and she considers an object that already exists as the most sustainable one.

At Scala Colab she researches sustainable materials and existing products and materials for reuse. Her most notable work here is that she ties teams to the importance of craft in the built environment. She is a Cornell drop out, with a BA Hons in 3D Design from Camberwell, and is training for her AMUSF qualification in traditional upholstery.

Committed to honesty and craft, and her work often reflects on the structures of society and ethics behind production. She restores furniture, upholsters and makes delicate coil pottery while pursuing the universal truth within the domestic setting using esoteric knowledge and a feminist lens.
