Practicing as architect and project manager for over 20 years, Fatima believes that design plays a key role in improving people’s health. Fatima has influenced projects at every stage of the process with her practical knowledge of construction and how people operate spaces. She has built many hospitals in Peru and commercial complexes in Spain, and managed large teams involved in their construction.

During her MSc on “Health, Wellbeing and Sustainable Buildings" from the Bartlett, UCL Fatima focused on the tension between environmentally friendly and healthy design features, in particular the impact of environmental factors such as lighting, air quality and thermal comfort.

With Scala Colab she selects and evaluates the best sustainable and healthy products and materials for indoor spaces. She hopes to find the best possible solutions for wellbeing in buildings. Fatima continues to work internationally on healthcare projects.
