A qualified Conservation Architect with over 20 years working on a wide range of architectural conservation projects both in the UK, Middle East and in India. Jhilmil has extensive experience in conducting Heritage and Planning Appraisals for Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas; developing capacity studies and design statements, conducting condition assessment and access audit to incorporate DDA, liaising with local council officers regarding successful completion of Planning Applications and carrying out appropriate repair and refurbishment works to listed buildings.

Jhilmil has been a Charles Wallace Trust (UK) Scholar and have published and presented at various international heritage conferences, including the Venice Biennale in 2006 & Royal Academy of Arts (London) in 2009. For her contribution to the international heritage publications she was invited to attend (as a member of SANEYOCOP) and address the ICCROM General Assembly, Rome in 2005.

Jhilmil is a keen researcher and a frequent speaker in conferences around the globe. She has published several peer-reviewed papers in a variety of professional journals. Her main interest is heritage legislation- its practice, application and adaptability.
